High scores for Oregon's Metrology Laboratory on recent audit
Image of large mass lab
The Oregon Department of Agriculture, Measurement Standard Division's Metrology Laboratory just scored very high marks on an extensive "quality system" and "management requirements" audit performed by National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). This audit addressed accreditation and compliance requirements prescribed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the National Conference of Standards Laboratories (NCSL), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology - Handbook 150 (NIST). This high level of accreditation ensures that the MSD Metrology Laboratory will be able to perform the high level precision weights and measures calibration required in today's high technology business sector.
