February 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The workshop will be at the North Mall Office Building, 725 Summer St. NE, Salem in room 124A.
The workshop is free to all who are interested. It will cover how to plan your project and write about it for a successful grant application. We will emphasize the Oregon Heritage Grants, the Oregon Museums Grants and the Historic Cemeteries Grant offered by Heritage Programs of Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, but the information can be applied to any grant.

March 5 from 1:00 p.m. to5:00 p.m. The meeting will be at the Brownsville Public Library, 146 Spaulding Ave, Brownsville.
Join the Commission to discuss issues related to the care and preservation of Oregon's historic cemeteries. Topics will include commission position papers, the recent Oregon Heritage Commission survey and more. Public comment and particapation is welcome.

Maintaining and Preserving Cemetery Records Workshop
March 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The workshop will be at the Brownsville Public Library, 146 Spaulding Ave, Brownsville.
The workshop is free to all who are interested. It will review the type of information to collect, how to organize and preserve paper records and explore various electronic approaches to manage records.We will discuss some of the current software and what to look for to meet your cemetery's needs.

Spring Clean up Day of the Jacksonville Historic Cemetery grounds
9am until 12 noon.
Bring gloves to wear, leaf rakes, gas blowers, pruners, brush or broom. Coffee and morning refreshments will be provided along with bottled water. Oregon Cultural Trust Cultural Development grant DEADLINE
The grants can be used to advance, preserve or stabilize cultural resources; invest in the development of new resources; support proposals that have a broad cultural impact beyond the applicant itself; and, support proposals from applicants with culture as a priority within the mission of the organization. Proposals are accepted in one of four broad areas: preservation, access, capacity and creativity.
