Welcome to the Historic Cemeteries Program
Past workshop in Merrill Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries to meet in Klamath Falls
The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries will meet July 16 1-4:30 p.m. at the Klamath County Historical Museum.

Join the commission to learn more about historic cemeteries and preservation. Agenda items will include legislative issues, current projects and future plans. The commission will invite public comments. A tour of Linkville Cemetery will follow.

Cemetery Preservation Basics Workshop
July 17, 9:00-3:00 Fort Klamath Cemetery
The FREE Cemetery Preservation Basics Workshop will involve learning how to approach preservation of a historic cemetery. The workshop will be geared towards people or groups that want to know the basics about how to plan and care for the historic gravemarkers. Packets will be provided to each person in attendance covering important aspects of cemetery preservation.

Brown Bag Lunch set for Medford
Historic cemetery advocates can share ideas, concerns and achievements at an Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries (OCHC) forum June 30 in Medford.

OCHC commissioner Dirk Siedlecki of Eagle Point will represent the seven-member commission at the event, which will be at noon at the Santo Community Center, Room 18, 701 North Columbus Ave. in Medford. Participants are invited to bring brown bag lunches. Dessert, coffee and bottled water will be provided.

Corporation Fee Waived for Oregon's Historic Cemeteries
The new law that waives the annual corporation fee for nonprofits that maintain historic cemeteries listed with the Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries went into effect in 2010.
