Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site closed for two days
Closed for parking area paving July 28-29. Beach access walk-in only. The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse will be closed for tours both days.

Banks-Vernonia State Trail closures August-October
Portions of the Banks-Vernonia State Trail (area north and south of Tophill Trailhead and approximately 3 miles between the bridge over Highway 47 near Stub Stewart north to the Washington/Columbia county line) will be closed mid-August through mid-October for trail realignment and paving.

Cascara boat launch at Fall Creek Reservoir closed
The boat launch at Cascara Campground is closed due to low water. The Winberry boat launch may close later in July. The Army Corps of Engineers is lowering the water to repair dam spillway gates.

There is no Vortex-style event scheduled at McIver this summer.

Silver Falls State Park trail alerts
The southeast section of Buck Mountain Loop is closed Monday through early afternoon Friday (opens at 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday) until Sept. 24 during a forest health thinning project (see news release). The Perimeter Trail is closed to horses. The trail that goes behind Middle North Falls is closed.
