TBABS MP3 Player Request Form
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE UNABRIDGED, DO NOT COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW.  INSTEAD, CALL JACKIE SHEPHERD AT 503-378-5390 TO REQUEST A LIBRARY CARD AND PIN NUMBER FOR UNABRIDGED.

It is not necessary to own an MP3 player in order to enjoy the thousands of titles that Unabridged has to offer.  The program and software were designed to play directly from your computer.  However, the use of an MP3 player can make your Unabridged experience more portable.  Many of the OverDrive compatible MP3 players can be purchased at a few local retail stores or online from under $50.  For a complete and up-to-date list of compatible MP3 devices, visit the OverDrive Device Resource Center.

Thanks to generous donations from our patrons and friends, Talking Book and Braille Services has been able to purchase a limited quantity of MP3 players that are compatible with the Overdrive Media Console and Unabridged downloadable books.    If you are unable to purchase your own MP3 player, TBABS can provide a player to you on EXTENDED loan to use with the Unabridged service.  Unlike the NLS provided cassette players, MP3 players provided on loan from TBABS cannot be replaced or repaired.

To request the loan of an MP3 player for use with the Unabridged service, please fill out this web-based form and click submit.  Your request will be reviewed and filled in the order received as long as supplies last.  Only individual patrons (no institutional accounts) are eligible to receive an MP3 player.
